I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
